Living with someone with bad habits


Relationships are really rosy in the beginning until you move in with the person and get exposed to all their bad habits. You suddenly realise that what you think you knew about someone, is not all that person is about. By this time it is too late to do anything about it and you are stuck living with your partner and his or her bad habits for the duration of the relationship.The most irritating bad habit that couples always complain about is the toilet seat dilemma. Men often have the tendency not to put the toilet seat down which either has women falling right through and feeling the water or having a meeting with the cold solid toilet bowl. This is very frustrating to women, especially when it is done in the morning. It can spoil a ladies entire day and is surely a stress factor. There is no real way to break bad habits like this because boys will be boys, so ladies, the best that you can do is either glue the seat onto the bowl or live with it.Another bad habit that gets the blood boiling in couples who live together is the constant channel flipping that one partner does during commercial breaks. This habit is really annoying as some people like to watch advertisements. This habit however can be eradicated by cleverly hiding the remote where only you have control. Other than this, it falls into the category of bad habits that you just cannot do a thing about!

Parenting Habits

We all wander into parenting habits without much thought. Habits are the actions we take repetitively without much consideration. When we delve into habitual behavior we tend to act without thinking about the potential consequences or whether there is a better way. We can develop positive parenting habits just as fast as we develop poor parenting habits. The only drawback with a parenting habit is that your child is growing and habits are often growth preventative. When we don’t change a habit we stop growing and thus we can continue a parenting behavior (or any other behavior for that matter) that becomes inappropriate for our child’s age. To check into parenting habits, try using a video camera in order to video tape a day’s worth of parenting. If you occasionally check in with your parenting habits via video you can often witness your own habits and behavior and determine if it’s something you wish to continue or something you wish to replace with a different behavior. When you take the time to check out your parenting habits you can make more conscious decisions rather than rely on habits to get you through your parenting years. When we stop relying on habits in order to drive our life forward, we are more aware how our actions impact those around us. Habits are easy to rely on. Thoughtful and purposeful parenting usually produces more intentional results. Habits are easier to break when we make ourselves aware of our behavior.

A questionnaire was made not so long ago to find out the most irritating habits of men. A number of women were asked to tell the worst habits of men from their point of view. The most popular are mentioned here. To be fairer, the men were given a chance to justify themselves.
1. The leader of the top 5 bad men’s habits, without any doubt, became the abuse of alcohol drinks. The men have an ability to get drunk in the most unsuitable moment.
The men in general found nothing to object except that often the wife herself is the reason of their alcohol abuse.
2. The next step is men’s infantility. They behave as if they were little children – unreasonable offenses. The men said that only at home they can allow themselves to relax.
3. The third place is occupied with men’s passion to lie all the time. But in this case it is true that when there appear such problems in the family, both of the members lie to each other.
4. All of the women mentioned that the men should be cleaner and make better use of deodorants.
5. And the last but not the least bad habit is connected with the life together. As it turns out women are irritated by socks lying here and there in the room and by the rosen seat in the toilet.
